Atta Halwa (Kada Prasad)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour (atta)
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • A pinch of cardamom powder (optional)
  • Dry fruits like almonds, cashews, and raisins (optional)

Method

  • Boil 3 cups of water in a pan, add sugar, and stir until it melts. Keep it aside.
  • In another pan, heat ghee and add wheat flour. Roast it slowly on a low flame till the flour turns golden brown and gives a nice aroma.
  • Now, carefully add the hot sugar water to the roasted flour and ghee mixture. Be careful, as it may splutter.
  • Keep stirring until the halwa becomes thick and smooth.
  • Add cardamom powder, mix well, and garnish with dry fruits.
  • Serve the halwa warm.
