Ingredients
- 1 cup wheat flour (atta)
- 1 cup ghee
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 cups water
- A pinch of cardamom powder (optional)
- Dry fruits like almonds, cashews, and raisins (optional)
Method
- Boil 3 cups of water in a pan, add sugar, and stir until it melts. Keep it aside.
- In another pan, heat ghee and add wheat flour. Roast it slowly on a low flame till the flour turns golden brown and gives a nice aroma.
- Now, carefully add the hot sugar water to the roasted flour and ghee mixture. Be careful, as it may splutter.
- Keep stirring until the halwa becomes thick and smooth.
- Add cardamom powder, mix well, and garnish with dry fruits.
- Serve the halwa warm.
